A Beloved stone is a small, hand-cast stone. Hold it against your phone and memories of your loved one appear on your screen. Photos, videos, music and a life story. Everything you have brought together.
Yes, it works with almost all phones from recent years. On an iPhone, the memorial page opens automatically on the iPhone XS (2018) and all newer models. It works with almost all recent Android phones too, although NFC must be switched on in the settings. If you have an older phone, you can always open the memorial page using its link.
There is a good chance your stone is working perfectly. We test every stone before dispatch to make sure it opens the memorial page.
If it does not work straight away, it is usually a matter of where you hold the stone against your phone. Each phone reads the stone in a slightly different place:
• iPhone: hold the stone against the top of your phone.
• Android: hold the stone just below the camera. NFC must be switched on in your settings.
Slowly move the stone across the back of your phone until the memorial page opens. A thick protective case may interfere with the connection. Try removing the case and holding the stone against your phone again.
Each stone is cast by hand using carefully selected materials. It has a soft, porcelain-like feel with a textured finish. The mould is based on real stones found in nature, giving every stone its own shape. The stones are handmade in the Netherlands.
A farewell stone is a small, hand-cast stone that can be given to family and friends during or after a farewell ceremony. Each stone is linked to the same memorial page. Hold it against your phone to open the page and keep photos, videos, music and memories of your loved one close.
The remembrance stone is larger than a farewell stone and smaller than the urn. It is designed to have a special place in your home, or to be given to someone you love. Hold the stone against your phone to open its memorial page, keeping photos, videos, music and memories of your loved one close.
You can place a small amount of ashes, a lock of hair or a piece of fabric from your loved one’s clothing in the urn yourself. This gives it an extra personal meaning and keeps something tangible close to you. Its compact size makes it ideal for a special place of remembrance, on a shelf or a small table.
All our stones are handmade in our atmospheric vaulted cellar, in the heart of the beautiful fortified town of Grave. We carefully finish each one with love and attention. Every stone is unique, with a character of its own.
You can add photos, videos, music and your own audio recordings. There is also room for a life story, a poem or a personal motto. You decide how the page looks, choosing the colour, font and photo and video frames that feel right to you.
Visitors can also leave a written memory, such as a few words, a thought or a short story. The person managing the page can add the location of the final resting place too.
Anyone who has a stone or knows the link. Hold the stone against your phone and the memorial page appears, without an app or password. Just as anyone given a traditional memorial card could look at it.
Memorial pages cannot be found through Google or other search engines. A page is only accessible to people with the correct link, and that link is stored in the stone.
Yes. You can add or change photos, videos, text and music at any time, even years later. The stones will continue to open the same memorial page. Perhaps you find another special photo, or someone sends you a video of your loved one. You can add it whenever you are ready. The memorial page must remain active; the first year is included, and after that you can choose to renew it annually.
Yes. Anyone with a stone can add a personal memory to the memorial page. A word, a thought or a short story. Like a book of condolence you can return to for years to come.
As the person managing the page, you can see every new memory and decide what stays visible. This helps you keep the page true to the person your loved one was.
You can add a total of twelve photos and videos to each memorial page, including up to six videos. This keeps the page clear and enjoyable to explore.
The memorial page is managed by the person who created it. From a single account, you can add photos and videos, edit text, manage memories and change the appearance of the page.
Each memorial page is managed by one person at a time, but you can transfer management to someone else if you wish.
The memorial page has space for your own audio recordings and favourite music.
Your own recordings might include a saved voicemail, a spoken message or a song sung by your loved one. Sounds and voices that mean a great deal to you.
Under favourite music, you can add songs your loved one enjoyed by including a link from Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music. Visitors can then listen to the song through that service.
You create your memorial page using your own collection of photos, videos, text and audio recordings stored on your phone or computer. If you delete something you would like to keep, simply add it again.
Keep your most important material on your own device too, in a folder you can easily find.

Er is ook een variant waarin de as van de overledene is verwerkt. Daarmee blijft een tastbare herinnering aan je dierbare letterlijk dichtbij, op een plek die je zelf kiest.
